I am working on a museum project in Albuquerque and we’re looking for someone who makes reproduction jergas (natural wool colors) and colcha bedcovers. Do any of your members continue to make these?

    Thank you.

My husband and I visited the shop Friday and left with a good-sized box of wonderful spun wool. We applaud everything about the mill and especially the ethics and commitment behind it. Good for you, good for everyone! Long may you continue and long may you continue to spread your message.

Hello, I read the article about Mora Valley Spinning Mill in my Alpaca Culture magazine. As a New Mexico alpaca rancher with a small on farm store and internet store I would love to be able to produce a New Mexico made yarn for my clients. At the moment I am sending my fiber out of state to be processed into yarn an would love to keep that business in New Mexico. I would like to talk to you about this possibility. Is there a best time to call? Or if you wanted you could call me (575) 769 6601 (Cell) (575) 683 5177. Looking forward to speaking with you. Rosemary Metcalf, Windrush Alpacas, Clovis, NM

I weave 100% wool saddle blankets with wool that I spin then dye with natural plants before creating my blankets. I sell them all over the U.S , Canada and Europe. I especially like churro wool and you were recently recommend to me by LuAnn Kilday of the New Mexico Farm and Ranch Museum. I’m wondering if you sell roving and if so, what are your prices. I love what you are doing and what you have accomplished. I wish you all the success in your endeavors and hope we can do business. Linda

Finally sending my wool — 2 boxes — sorry for the delay. My mom has been in the hospital in ICU for 2 weeks. Finally getting a bit better.

I read with interest today the article about your initiative and the mill’s financial situation. As a knitter I would be interested in purchasing yarn. Also, is there a way to shop online for products from Tapetas de Lana? Etsy is a possible marketing resource.
How can I go about purchasing yarn? How many yards are in each 4 ounce skein of knitting yarn?

I live in Socorro and don’t get up your way very often!

Feb 2016 I have just sheared and getting ready to bring my fleeces to Mora for processing. As always looking forward to getting back wonderfully clean and carded fiber to work with. I have been a customer for some time, and plan to be in future. Enjoyed the company of their great staff when we have done fiber fairs together. Highly recommend their service. Efficiently and done in good time.

Last time we visited we saw a few “walking looms” for sale. Any chance we could get a price on a small loom located next to the coffee shop? Thanks
